Has anyone ever had a question not post?

I posted this question a couple of hours ago and am seeking opinions:

I am a licensed esthetician (skin care) and cosmetologist who wants to purchase a laser for aesthetic treatments (primarily for hair removal). These lasers have no worse complications for the patient than waxing or electrolosis, but my state medical board just announced 3 months ago that this laser-light technology could only be used by licensed physicians, PAs and CRNs. This is a cosmetic procedure and persons practicing electrology have been operating these aesthetic lasers for over a decade, but now, the medical community wants all the profits for themselves. I feel this is a violation – how can they announce that a non-surgical apparatus can not be used by persons well educated in skin care and skin conditions???? I am going to consult my attorney but wanted others’ opinions on this matter. Thanks.
D – thanks for the answer. The problem my state medical board is having is that they cannot provide me with documentation of why aesthetic lasering is more dangerous than electrolosis. The Board of Cosmetology has since otld me they will look into this and the Medical Board told me it is still under investigation and to write a letter. I am waiting to see what the Cosmetology Board can do first. Thanks again.

Decisions made by government regarding the health and safety of the people are extremely difficult to change through the court system. A Supreme Court case called Lee Optical established that as long as the law regulating medical practices in particularly, and health and safety generally, has a “rational basis” for being enacted, it will stand. This is a state medical board decision, and it would likely be granted the same kind of broad deference. The only way you could seek to change that regulation is to petition the board, and to enlist the help of others in petitioning the board. That’s just the way the democratic process works.

NO—If you’re buying the right make up, it won’t make your skin worse at all. There are actually some make up products out there that improve the appearance of your skin.

Make up looks best on clean, moisturized skin, so make sure you’re using the right products for you.

Neutrogena has an oil free foundation with SPF in it, look for it in your local drug store.

However, there are some products that can clog your pores which in turn does create problems for your skin. Look for the words “hypoallergenic”, “non-comedogenic” and “oil free” on the make up you buy. This will ensure that the make up you’re buying won’t clog your pores, doesn’t have any oil in it, and it doesn’t have any unnecessary fragrances or minerals in it.

Make sure you’re washing your face free of make up at the end of the day before you go to bed. If you sleep with your make up on, you have a higher chance of clogging your pores. Apply a light moisturizer after cleansing your face.

The correct foundation can be good for your skin. They can act as a sunscreen. Those with moisturizers in it can balance the moisture in your face. Some foundations contain medications to dry up pimples. AND they improve our looks by evening out your skin tones and cover some blemishes.

I have the Green tube concealer [looks like lipstick] from Physicians Formula. I got it for the same reason as you, to cover up acne scars. It works really well for me.

Don’t use foundation because it will only make your acne/pimples worse. Just try a tinted moistrurizer. That’s what I have been using and my skin is doing a lot better. Btw, I got my tinted moisturizer from Sephora.

She also has been acting fussier so I am wondering if it could be an infection.

I’m having a hair loss issue and I started to use the Avalon Organics, Biotin B-Complex Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner yesterday. I just don’t know if it is okay for me to use both everyday.
Hair loss is a very common problem among people. In most cases abnormal loosing of hair is a sign of health problems. What is abnormal loosing of hair? Do not panic if you loose from 50 to 100 hair per day – this is normal. If you clearly lose more or you see hairless spots on your head – see your doctor.

So 50-100 strands of hair loss is totally normal and in limits, but if you still want to have stronger hair against hair loss, i advice you to check the following web page, where you can find recent best 10 shampoos that help you to recover from your hair loss problem and they are really great. The page ALSO has information about the possible reasons of hair loss.

I advice you to give Nioxin a try. In the web page above you will also find some other information than just shampoos, such as how to prevent hair loss and what are the common reasons of it..

Also i advice you to check the Bosley company, you will see their link in the web page above, where you can get free consultation with Bosley Medical physician, they are hair loss experts and one of the best world wide and the consults are totally free of charge and you will get the correct information without spending a dime and then decide your next step.

Thinning hair in the front?

For the past 3 months my life was HELL. I have never had so much stress in my life. From panic/anxiety attacks to suicidal thoughts to family problems to very severe headaches and many more. I also heard stress can cause hair loss. Now I have always had very thick hair in my life. I even used to slick my hair back, Michael Corleone style. My nutrition has always been good also, and I use a good organic shampoo too. Please is there anyway to get my hair back???
Thank you.

The most important thing to do is find ways to reduce stress and relax..if it is as bad as you say then a trip to your local doctor/GP may be in order, as might some counselling sessions…

Once the stress is under control you may find that the hair will start to grow back on its own…and you could also mention the hair loss to any medical practitioner you visit and get their advice…if not then I would suggest a product like Rogaine/Regaine, containing the drug Minoxidil which is excellent at promoting hair regrowth as long as the follicles are still alive

HELP my doctor says i have seborrheic dermatitis? BUT read more please?

But when i went to the doctor she barely looked at my scalp. I have some dry flakes on my scalp and hair and its worse at night. I have it under control as long as i use this organic shampoo a few times a week. I went to see her to just make sure its nothing bad and see what i have but what she says i have i really dont think i have. Im looking at pics and i dont think i have that. i have no scaling or red patches along my hair line and those are symptoms. She did prescribe me some shampoo for psoriasis which isnt the same as seborrheic dermatitis and i dont think i should use it. im a white teenager and seborrheic dermatitis occurs in males over 50. SO my question is, should i use this medicine? or keep with what ive been doing even though i get flakes from time to time? what do you guys think? i honestly feel my dermatologist was wrong and i just have this torn feeling of whether i should use it or not. Also the shampoo causes hair loss and adrenal glad issues :/ i dont want to make it worse. another thing that causes this is stress and i am stressed so i think i should treat it with my organic shampoo and cut down on the stress. what do u think?

If the organic shampoo is working for you there is no need to irritate your scalp with extra chemicals. Especially if she diagnosed you with one thing and gave you shampoo for something else. If she didn’t give you the time of day, just do what you’ve been doing. Maybe you should wash your hair with the one you are using each time if you can? If it’s just the occasional flakes, and you don’t have sores you’ll be fine

It could be the changes your body’s going through. Even though you are changing things in a positive way it is still a change and like anything else throws of your body. I wouldn’t worry about it as long as you have a clean bill of health. It could also be the change in the texture of your hair. That as well can change throughout your life time.
Buy some and do two test loads. One with the homemade laundry soap and one with your regular detergent. See what he thinks. Even if he doesn’t like it you can use it on your clothes.

admin answers:

It sounds like this is a melt and pour type of soap, since it is clear.

You can purchase melt and pour base, fragrance and colorant online from various vendors such as (http://www.thescentshack.com)

It’s basically heating the soap up in the microwave until it melts. Then add your scent. Usually 1 to 2 teaspoons of scent per pound of soap. Then stir in your color and pour into molds. After the soap hardens, you can unmold and use! To add anything else, such as herbs – you can wait until just before you pour into the molds. The cooler the base is, the better the items will suspend in the soap. Too hot and the herbs will float to the top.

Make sure that any scent and colorant you use are safe for bath and body products. Don’t use candle dye or scent.

That link is a previous question I asked, asking if I should let my hair be curly, and stop straightening it. Everybody convinced me that I should let it be curly, but I’m sorta scared. lmao. I’m nervous it’ll be too much of a change, and that I look best with straight hair. I think if I grow my hair (it’s about above shoulder ) it’ll look better. Do you think I should just go ahead and let my natural curls show?
This is For all my woman that are trying to get pregnant!?

Does Folic Acid help you get Pregnant and Increase Fertility
A number of women tend to ask the gynaecologists the simple question, “Does folic acid help you get pregnant?” The answer here is very simple if you want to get pregnant, Folic Acid is a must for you. How ever a common mistake made about Folic Acid is that is doesn’t improve your chances getting pregnant faster. Opposite to Child-wish.com natural products which in fact triples your chances getting pregnant fast within 1-3 months.
In some cases you may come across Folic Acid being referred to as Folate or Folacin. It has also been classified as Vitamin B9. Folic Acid is a required in liberal quantities to ensure proper production of red blood cell sand a number of components that are required for the nervous system growth. The acid helps the human body synthesize genetic material in every cell thus normalizing the brain function.

Can Phobia of Being Pregnant Stem From Anorexia?

I have such a phobia of being pregnant and having children a natural way, could this irrational fear stem from my Anorexia that I was diagnosed with when I was 11…? I have normal periods now, so I’m guessing I have normal fertility, as my body is recovered, but my mind is far from. I still have a completely IRRATIONAL fear of weightgain, and the thought of the changes my body would undergo while pregnant absolutely drives terror into my heart and mind. No matter who I’m with, no matter how “worth it” some women (who have never experienced the hell of an eating disorder) say it is, I just don’t want to do it. And I’m scared I’m going to be so paranoid when I settle down with a life partner, that I’ll take pregnancy tests practically every time I had sex, I’d break down if I ever accidentally got pregnant, the terror I have of being pregnant could actually drive me to do some pretty terrible things…

The prospect of actual childbirth scares me as well; and I am so heartless towards normally conceived children. I talk about ‘foetuses’ and ‘embryo’s', not babies, I gag whenever I think of childbirth, I don’t view babies as little miracles, only a product of 2 mixed fluids, I don’t see the big massive deals made when a foetus for example, kicks in its mother’s womb…I speak almost with contempt about babies, and I realise that this is NOT. NORMAL. I feel so terrible. And like this anger is almost a defense mechanism.

This fear of pregnancy and having children the natural way has a name doesn’t it…? And can it stem from past Eating Disorders and Depression? (Both of which I’ve had). Thank you. xxx
Also, it doesn’t help that my mother thinks I am unutterably selfish for not wanting biological children and expects me to someday.

Im feeling really down about my body, ladies how do you still manage to feel sexy and confident? =[?

Hi all, i feel really stupid for even posting this, but i do feel really down all of a sudden and kind of wanted to hear from others… Ok, well basically this morning i’ve woken up and discovered some new stretch marks on my stomach; my stomach is the ONE place i realllly did not want to get them, i have been applying oil every single day; Vitamin E oil/ cocoa butter etc.. I’ve discovered more on my thighs kind of like where your bum cheeks meet and am getting covered with them round my hips and a few on my bum. I know that this is kind of to be expected during pregnancy but i cant help feeling down about it, i feel really horrible and unattractive. I am very very excited about meeting my daughter and i do feel really blessed to be having a child (she’s my first, im 29 weeks pregnant by the way) and i do feel a bit selfish for feeling down now because i know some women cant have kids. But the fact it im only 20 and still want to feel sexy and confident, once my baby is born. I have loads of worries like being loose after the birth even though i have been doing pelvic floor excercises. I just feel like my body is going to be absolutely ruined =[ My baby’s father, who (i thought) i had a good relationship with, did a runner as soon as i announced my pregnancy to him, and im single. Of course relationships is the LAST thing on my mind at the moment, i am solely concentrating on my baby daughter and building a good future for her, however of course there will come a stage where i would like to think about dating again, though who would want someone who’s still young yet covered in all these stretch marks and looking the way i do?? I just feel a bit like im damaged goods at the moment… Anyway, my main question is; how do you all manage to still feel good about yourselves if you do- i’d still like to hear from you even if you DONT feel good about yourselves… I just need someone to talk to at the moment =[ Please answer… Also, do none of these creams and oils im spending a bloody fortune on actually work??? Has any products worked for you at all?? How can i still feel sexy and confident? I thought i was managing to get through the pregnancy without too many stretchmarks, though they have all just sprung out of nowhere- they literally are appearing over night, and i know they get worse straight after you give birth when you lose the weight, so i dread to think how im going to look by the time baby arrives. Sorry if i sound selfish and ‘woe- is- me’ but i cant help how i feel. Anyway, would be good to hear from some mum’s/ mum’s-to-be, many thank you’s in advance, God Bless ~x~

What you are feeling is totally normal in pregnancy and you are not alone. I can tell you that your body will never be the same again but you will have a beautiful little child to show for it and after a while things do shrink back to close to normal.

You are doing the right thing but using the creams and oils… Some people swear by them, i use them but still got a few stretch marks. Make sure you rub the cream into the areas where you are noticing the marks and don’t forget your breasts. Right now the marks probly look red and nasty but they do fade into silvery marks that are way less noticeable. And definitly keep up the pelvic floor exercises because they do help.

One thing i regret about my first pregnancy is that i didn’t exercise… I sat around and ate. I ended up being a big fat monster and it took a LONG time to get back into shape afterwards. This time i am still going to the gym and walking (and not eating like a horse) and while i’m not sure if i’m keeping the weight off i can definitly say that i am feeling better about myself. And thats what you need to do for yourself. Make sure you take time out for yourself.. Manicure, pedicure, massage whatever it takes to put a smile on your face and relax you for a while.

And finally you are not going to be damaged goods. Any man that can’t see past a few stretch marks isn’t worth having in your life!! You will be fine. I have my moments when i think “ew who is this person in the mirror” but who doesn’t – pregnant or not!!

Take it easy and good luck xxx

I actually prefer the true blue spa products in bath and body. I work there and took advantage of the tbs sale. The products are a lot better in quality than the signature collection.
